CONSTRUCTION OF THERMAL INSULATING MINERAL PLASTER COAT, FOR EXTERIOR AND/OR INTERIOR, CLIMATE REGULATOR OF THERMAL BRIDGES WITH HIGH PERFORMANCES OF ACOUSTIC INSULATION: NATURAL, BREATHABLE, DEHUMIDIFYING, ANTI-CONDENSATE, NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME, PERLITE EXPANDED AND FLOUR CORK BASED.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

PREPARATION OF THE PLASTER SURFACES
The wall surfaces on which the plaster will be made, both newly constructed and clean from old plasters, (for restoration and/or maintenance), must be cleaned, where possible with hydro-washing or sandblasting, to remove friable and incoherent parts, surface dust, contamination of any kind, etc. Any irregularities in planar continuity (accentuated height differences, cavities, pipe-crossing sites, etc.), must be preliminarily reclaimed by filling with “mixed” mortar made on site or with lime-based premixed hydraulic mortar UNTERSANA by AZICHEM srl.
In correspondence with areas of a different nature from the original masonry: architraves, chimneys, structural elements, slabs, discontinuities, edges of doors and windows, etc., the alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh grid must be prepared. ARMAGLASS 160 by AZICHEM srl, weighing 160 gr/m² with a 4 x 4 mm square mesh, being careful to exceed by the edges about 20 cm per side, respect to the area to be reinforced.
The net will be interposed (“drowned”) in the premixed mortar hydraulic lime based UNTERSANA by AZICHEM srl,  which will then be applied, possibly using a smooth metal spatula, to be able to “drown” it in the rendering coat.

APPLICATION OF GRIPPING BASE COAT
On the walls prepared as described above and after having wet the surface with water, to simplify the application and the adhesion of the next thermal plaster, apply by spray, trying to obtain a surface as much as possible corrugated and rough, the pre-mixed base coat mortar based on hydraulic lime, botticino, kaolin, calcium casein, Vichy salt and tartaric acid, to mix only with water, UNTERSANA by AZICHEM srl, must be added  to EEC directive 89/106, for an approximate thickness of 3 – 4 mm (4 – 5 kg/m² of product), checking the coverage, as continuous as possible, of the surface to be plastered.
On the rendering mortar surface prepare the thick bands and the corner guards in stainless steel, using for the thickness bands the thermal insulating plaster SANAWARME by AZICHEM srl, which will then constitute the actual thickness of the mineral coat, and for the corner protectors the fast setting hydraulic mortar SANAFIRM by AZICHEM srl.

APPLICATION OF THE THERMAL-INSULATING PLASTER
After about 24 hours from the application of the UNTERSANA base coat, and in any case after hardening of the same, after having wet the surface to be plastered with water, apply the plaster manually or by spray using the appropriate plastering machine thermal insulating, dehumidifying, based on hydraulic lime, botticino, kaolin, calcine casein, Vichy salt, calcium carbonate, tartaric acid, ammonium salts, expanded perlite, cork flour and natural fibers, to which only the mixing water,  SANAWARME of AZICHEM srl, in compliance with EEC directive 89/106, having a certified thermal conductivity by UNI EN 1745-EN 12664 of λ = 0.077 W/mK, an average density after 7 days: 700 kg/m³, a compressive strength: 2.2 N/mm² and an average consumption of about 6 kg/m²/cm.

The thickness of SANAWARME to be realized in the present project will be cm …

The layers of sprayed product must not exceed the thickness of 1.5 – 2 cm. Each subsequent layer must be applied once the previous one has hardened (24 to 48 hours apart, depending on the temperature and seasonal climatic conditions) and after having wet with water the surfaces to be plastered. Before the complete hardening of the SANAWARME thermal insulating plaster (the time required will depend on the temperature and humidity of the place where the work is being carried out), roughen the surface made with the specific toothed tool (Rabot), making it uniform immediately afterwards with a trowel, in order to totally eliminate the dust produced by roughening.

APPLICATION OF FINISHING AND PAINTING
After 2-3 days from the application of SANAWARME thermal plaster, and in any case after its hardening , after having wet with water the surface, apply the finishing coat based on hydraulic lime, botticino, kaolin, calcine casein, Vichy salt and tartaric acid, to which only mixing water, SANASTOF by AZICHEM srl with a trowel, in compliance with EEC directive 89/106, for a thickness of about 2.5 mm (consumption: 4 kg/m²), in order to homogenize and compensate for the previously plastered surfaces, from any planar inhomogeneities. In the SANASTOF layer, for the purpose of the best anti-cracking control and the best resistance to mechanical and/or atmospheric events, it is extremely important to interpose (“drown”) the alkaline-resistant  fiberglass mesh ARMAGLASS 160  by AZICHEM srl, using if possible, a smooth metal spatula, in order to be able to “drown” the net in the finishing coat.

APPLICATION OF THE WATER-REPELLENT BREATHABLE PAINTING
Once the SANASTOF finishing has cured (keeping it as wet as possible, especially in the summer or on hot and windy days) and when it reaches the correct alkalinity of the same, apply the transpiring, protective, water-repellent siloxane paint PROTECH SIL-P by AZICHEM srl for a consumption of 0.25-0.30 l/m² (after specific PROTECH SIL-FIX primer by AZICHEM srl, for a consumption of 0.12 l/m²).
